Page 1 of 2 Electricity North West has been working with National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Friends groups in the north west and a number of lines have been placed underground. The first line to go under was at Leighton Moss in the Arnside and Silverdale AONB in autumn 2006. Within the Lake District, about 16 km of line have been placed underground so far, including this line a Bleathwaite Pastures. Bleathwaite Pastures before overhead wire removal. |
