You can help raise extra cash for the Lake District landscape - and all it takes is the click of a mouse! Four conservation projects drawn from the Lake District, Snowdonia and Yorkshire Dales have been short listed for a cash award of up to 30,000 euros which would provide crucial funding, and organisers are asking you to decide on who gets the money. Members of the public are being invited to go online and vote for their favourite project. The award is being offered by the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA). It's an association created from businesses from the outdoor industry and raises funds for conservation and the promotion, care and respect for wild places and supports projects across the world. From the 1st March, each of the four projects will be featured for two days on the ‘Live for the Outdoors' website at www.livefortheoutdoors.com People will have the opportunity to go online and vote for their favorite project from the 9th March. The winner will be announced in July. Visit http://ow.ly/3WFte for current details then make sure that you visit again between 9th and 15th March to register your vote for the Lake District. |
