· Friends of the Lake District is the only organisation in Cumbria which works exclusively on landscape issues

· We campaign against anything which we believe would have a detrimental effect on the landscape

· We seek to influence decision-makers to understand the importance of conserving and enhancing the irreplaceable landscape of Cumbria and the Lake District

· We provide community-level and other grants to projects which help to conserve and enhance their environments
