If you have an interest in the future of the Lake District you have the chance to comment on and develop planning policies in an online consultation now.
The month-long online consultation exercise running until 5 June will help shape the Authority's draft Local Development Framework before it goes out to formal consultation in the autumn. The Authority hopes to involve as many people as possible in this extra stage of consultation, especially those who normally would probably not get involved in formal consultation exercises. Members of Friends of the Lake District are particularly urged to respond to the consultation, which is available at Local Development Framework. The draft policy document will be updated during the online consultation to show just exactly what the public are expressing opinions about. Friends of the Lake District will also be making responses direct. Those without internet access will be able to read the policies and pick up comment forms from local libraries, LDNPA Information Centres and the National Park headquarters in Kendal and there will also be five ‘drop-in' days around the National Park during this special consultation period. |
