1998

Ennerdale Bridge - a grant was given to Ennerdale   & Kinniside to provide a safer footpath.
Keswick - a grant was given to Keswick Civic Society towards the renovation of stonework around the drinking fountain in Station Road.
Dearham - a grant was given to help with Phase 3 of the Community Garden Project.
Ambleside - a grant was given to assist in the construction of a drystone wall along the popular footpath from Kirkstone Road to Red Screes.
Millom - a grant was given towards the commissioning of a stained glass window at St George's Church to commemorate Norman Nicholson, the Poet 
St Bees - a grant was given for walling and paving to enhance Priory Paddock in St Bees.
Ambleside - grant towards the restoration of the ancient Brathay flag hedge at Fisher Beck / Red Bottoms Link Road.
Scout Scar, Kendal - a grant was given to restore the boundary wallwhich marks the National Park Boundary.
Meathop Moss - purchased by FLD and donated to the Cumbria Wildlife Trust
Calthwaite - grant to Calthwaite CE School to construct an environmental area within the grounds.
Applethwaite - a grant was given to assist with the undergrounding of overhead wires.
Thirlmere - a grant was given to allow for disabled access from Swirls car park to Station Coppice viewpoint.
Wansfell - grant towards the restoration of the footpath between Ambleside and Wansfell.
Wrynose Pass - grant towards the restoration of the Three Shire Stone which was broken in 1997.
Ashmeadow Estate, Arnside - a grant was given towards woodland management work to improve public access.
Nether Wasdale - a grant was given to assist with repairs to the footbridge at Burnthwaite Farm.
How, near Keswick - a grant was given to assist with providing atsockproof fence around woodland near How Farm.
Holmrook - grant towards the restoration of Holmrook Hall Bridge.
Old Hutton, near Kendal - a grant was given towards the production of a Parish Map.
Calder Valley - a grant was given towards the replacement of a footbridge over Worm Gill.
Ennerdale - a grant was given towards hedge planting at Ennerdale Scout Camp.
Old Hutton - a grant was given to the Woodland Trust's appeal to buy 13.5 acres of land at Old Hutton to establish a new community woodland.
Brantwood, Coniston - a grant was given to the BTCV for access improvement in the grounds.

1997

Duddon Estuary - a grant was given to assist in  a study of the area.
Easedale - grant towards the restoration of a  packhorse bridge over Easedale Beck at Brimmer Head.
Bardsea - a further grant was given to help complete the landscaping project at the Old Malt Kiln.
Culgaith - a grant was given towards the creation of a wildlife area.
Ennerdale Bridge - a grant was given towards the construction of six new footbridges in Salter and Eskett Woods near the River Ehen.
Greenodd & Ulverston - grant towards the feasibility study for a cycle way along the old railway track.
Gosforth - a grant was given to the Wasdale Mountain Resuce Unit to assist in the construction of a new base.
Newlands Valley - a grant was given for the repair of footbridges near Bawd Hall & Rowling End.
Clifton, near Penrith - a grant was given to the Clifton 250 Group for the restoration of the site of the Battle of Clifton fought in 1745.
Stanger, Lorton Valley - grant towards the restoration of the former Spa near Stanger.
Millom - a grant was given to establish a wildflower area and play area at Parkview Nursery School.
Shap - a grant was given to Shap CE Primary School to assist with a drystone wall and mosiac sculpture in the playground.
Langwathby - a grant was given to Lnagwathby CE School to create an environmental area in the school grounds.
Rosley - a grant was given to Rosley CE Primary School to build a drystone wall around the nature garden.
Seascale - a further grant was given to Seascale Primary School to make improvements to their wildflower garden and pond.
Foulshaw Moss, Lyth Valley - a grant was given to aid with the purchase of this important moss.
Hawkshead - a grant was given to Hawkshead Primary School to purchase local apple and damson trees.
Warcop - a grant was given to restore steps around the maypole.

1996

Stickle Ghyll, Langdale - a grant was given to  repair damage caused by floods to a footbridge and section of wall.
Keekle - a grant was given to further assist in the restoration of Keekle Packhorse Bridge.
Seathwaite, Duddon - a grant was given for slate for the restoration of the Parish Room.
Levens - a grant was offered to assist with the undergrounding of overhead electrical wires.
Ravenglass - a grant was given for landscaping near the restored signal box on the Ravengalss and Eskdale Railway.
Hawkshead - a further grant was given to help complete the improvements to the area near the TIC at Hawkshead.
Gosforth - a grant was given to assist with the landscaping at the entrance to the car park.
Hesket Newmarket - a grant was given to provide a clay lining for a pond on the newly developed nature conservation area at Hewer Hill.
Sandside - a grant was given to Beetham Parish Council to rebuild the drystone wall boundary along a newly created footpath at Sandside along a former railway track
Thirlmere - a grant was given for three new footbridge along the woodland walk in High Park near Swirls.
Dollywagon Pike - a further grant was given towards  stone pitching of the path.
Orton - a grant was given to the Parish Council to construct raised flowerbeds  and seats to stop HGV's using the area to park in.
Workington - a grant was given to St Mary's Primary School to provide landscaping in the grounds to improve the environment.
Gamblesby - a grant was given towards the repair of the village bus shelter.
Crosby Ravensworth - a grant was given for the production of a technical  publication on orchard reclamation.
The Crosses Farm, Windermere - a grant was given to the BTCV for the establishment of a new woodland. Kendal - a grant was given to the BTCV to cultivate trees of local provenance at Dog Kennel Wood.
Eskdale - a grant was given towards the creation of disabled access on a route from Dalegarth and Boot to St Catherines Church and on to the Geoffrey Berry Memorial Bridge.
Ludderburn Moss - a grant was given towards the creation of a new native woodland, drystone walls and a small dam.
Honister Quarries - a grant was given to help with the conservation scheme and interpretation.

1995

Crummock Water - a grant was given to the National  Trust to create a new  footpath through the grounds to link with other paths  to enable walkers to  follow a circular route around both Buttermere and Crummock Water and eliminate  road walking from the route.
Ulpha, Duddon - a grant was given to assist with repairs to the village hall.
Burrows Croft Wood, near Lakeside - a grant was given to improve the footpath between High Dam and Burrows Croft.
Staveley - a grant was given to Staveley Primary School for the creation of a nature area and a weather station.
Beetham - a grant was given to assist in the creation of  an arts and environmental area at Beetham Primary School.
Haybridge Nature Reserve - a grant was given to assist in the resurfacing of the car park.
Milnthorpe - a grant was given to Milnthorpe Primary School to asist in the creation of a wildlife area
Hawkshead - a grant was given to purchase a tree as part of the landscaping by the TIC in Hakwshead car park.
High Head Castle, near Ivegill - a grant was given to the BTCV to restore 330m of historic hedges.
Eskdale, near Boot - grant towards the restoration of the iron railing around the war memorial.
Dollywagon Pike route near Grisedale Tarn - a grant was given towards the restoration of this path.
Dalton in Furness - a grant was given to improve neglected land at Goose Green including the creation of a wildflower meadow and a seating area.
Vale of St John - a grant was given for the strengthening of the foundations of the old bridge over St John's Beck.
River Lickle, near Broughton in Furness - a grant was given to help with the replacement of the footbridge across the River Lickle.
Keswick - a grant was given towards the landscaping at the new Keswick Mountain Rescue Hut.
St Bees - a grant was given to improve the old village green and common at Rottington, commonly known as Dingly Dell by using woven willow spiling to prevent erosion of the bank of the beck.
Ambleside - grant towards the restoration of the historic slate hedge.
Easedale, Grasmere - a grant was given for the repair of collapsed walls around an historic walled enclosure by Blindtarn Gill.
Hale Moss - a grant was given for the provision of a new hide and board walk.
Barrow in Furness - a grant was given to the Dane Ghyll Primary School to establish an environmental area.
Paradise (north of Askam-in-Furness) - a grant was given for the creation of access facilities for the disabled to a wildlife habitat.
Curwen Park, Workington - a grant was given to assist with landscaping carried out by the BTCV.

1994

Scout Scar, Kendal - a grant was given for refurbishment  of 'The Mushroom  Shelter'.
Pennington, near Ulverston - a grant was given to assist in the creation of a landscaped area at Pennington Church of England Primary School.
Appleby in Westmorland - a grant was given to assist with the construction of bird hides at Wellbank Wood by the River Eden. 
Sedgwick - a grant was given to rebuild drystone walls on the nature conservation area by the Lancaster - Kendal canal.
Warcop - a grant was given towards a survey of red squirrels by Warcop Primary School.
Kendal - a grant was given to the Woodland Trust to assist  in the purchase of Warriner's Wood.
Alston - grant towards the restoration of the weathervane as part of the renovation of the Town Hall clock tower.
Whitehaven - a grant was given towards the creation of a nature area in the grounds of the Valley Infant and Junior School.
Arnside Moss - a grant was given towards the replacement of a footbridge over Leighton Beck on the Limestone Link footpath between Arnside and Kirkby Lonsdale.
Greystoke - a grant was given to assist in the resurfacing and extension of a footpath across the fields and also the provision of a roadside footway to the bus stop.

1993

Kendal - a grant was given towards the creation of a nature garden for the playgroup.
Kirkby Stephen - a grant was given towards the provision of access facilities and landscaping around a new picnic area by Frank's Bridge.
Ferry Nab, Lake Windermere - a grant was given towards the restoration of seats at Ferry Nab.
Egremont - a grant was given towards the planting of an orchard using local varieties.
Cleator Moor - a grant was given towards the creation of a new nature garden at Montreal Infant School.
Kirkby Lonsdale - a grant was given a new wooden gate as part of the restoration of Church Brow Cottage.
Bewcastle - grant towards the purchase of Coldside Wood.
Staveley - grant to Cumbria Wildlife Trust towards the purchase of Grubbins Wood.
Kirkby Lonsdale - grant towards the restoration of an early 18th century sundial in St Mary's Churchyard.
Staveley - purchase of Mike's Wood to mark the occasion of Mike Houston's retirement after 17 years as Secretary of the Friends of the Lake District.
Cockermouth - a grant was given to assist in the creation of a new sandstone paved walkway adjacent to the new Kirkgate Centre.
Brampton - a grant was given to the Woodland Trust to assist in the purchase of Quarrybeck Wood and for improvements.

1992

Urswick - a grant was given towards the replacement of a wooden catwalk  by Urswick Tarn.
Appleby in Westmorland - a grant was given to assist in the establishment of the Appleby in Westmorland Society for the study and preservation of the history and environment of the town.
Plumbland - a grant was given to help with repairs to the clock tower of Plumbland School.
Keekle - a grant was given for the restoration of the old pack horse bridge over the River Keekle.
Borrowdale - a grant was given to help with the repair of Folly Bridge.
Bowness on Windermere - a grant was given to help with the improvement of Ash Street and the purchase of an ash tree in the open area that was created.
Bardsea - a grant was given to help with the landscaping as part of the renovation of the village hall.
Hesket Newmarket - a grant was given to build a drystone wall around the newly created play area.

1991

Aldingham - grant towards a landscaping project as part of the restoration  of the village hall.
Crook - grant towards the restoration of ancient pinfolds in the parish.
Burton-in-Lonsdale - grant towards the planting of a new hawthorn hedge at Gallaber Farm.
Kirkby Lonsdale - grant towards the stabilisation of a landslip at Ruskin's  View.  
Staveley - grant towards the creation of a play area.
Eskdale - grant to St Bega's Primary School to assist with the creation of a nature garden.
Staveley - a grant was given to the Woodland Trust towards the purchase of Beckmickle Ing Wood.
Laithes, near Penrith - a grant was given to improve the riverside land by the River Petteril as a local amenity area.
Clifton, near Penrith - grant towards the restoration of the village hall.
Dalton-in-Furness - a grant was given to help with the creation of a cobbled area, seats, trees and shrubs and the renovation of a Victorian drinking fountain.
Aspatria - a grant for further landscaping.
Broughton-in-Furness - a grant was given towards an exhibition of farming implements at the rural museum.
Rydal - a grant was given towards the provision of a wicket gate at Rydal Park.
Windermere - grant towards the renovation of the Ladyholme Centre.
Lamplugh - a grant was given to help with the production of a booklet giving information on the local history, culture and wildlife of the area.

1990

Newby Head, Morland - a grant towards the restoration and preservation of  the Quaker Burial Ground.
Chapel Stile, Langdale - grant towards the restoration of the King George V shelter near the school.
Aspatria - grant towards the creation of interpretive panels around the town and surrounding area.
Askam-in-Furness - a grant was given towards improvements to the Beach Car Park.
Ambleside - a grant towards a footbridge over the River Rothay at Rothay Bridge.
Burrows Croft, near Lakeside - grant to the Woodland Trust to help with the purchase of the woodland.
Hackthorpe - grant towards the restoration of the Parish Hall.
Askam-in-Furness - grant towards the restoration of the area surrounding the Victorian Drinking fountain.
Coniston - a grant was given towards the construction of a footbridge over Church Beck in the centre of the village.
Millom - grant to the Scouts to help with the restoration of footpaths and stiles in the area.
Garrigill - grant towards the restoration the structure and surroundings of the Village Hall.
Bowness on Windermere - grant to help with the restoration of paving three footways.
Aspatria - grant towards improving the local footpath system.

Eskdale - contribution towards the Appeal Fund in memory of Geoffrey Berry, Secretary of the Friends of the Lake District from 1966-1976, to construct a footbridge over the River Esk near Gill Force and also footpath work and a new kissing gate.

Long Sleddale - grant towards the restoration of an ancient bridge on the  route from Long Sleddale to Mosedale.
Whinfell Beacon - grant towards the provision of a ladder stile and wall stile at two problem access points on the route.
Arlecdon - grant towards the renovation of the village hall.
Parton - grant towards the renovation of the village hall.
Plumbland - grant towards the restoration of wall surrounding the graveyard of St Cuthberts Church.
Fletchertown - grant towards the equipment and landscaping for a playpark.
Milburn - grant towards the restoration of the village green for providing a protective drystone wall.
Blindcrake - grant towards the renovation and improvement of the Mission and Reading Room.
Seascale - grant for the clearance of a stream and improvements to the path from a residential home to the village.
Wetheral - grant towards improvements to the churchyard, including a seat, the planting of shrubs and re-surfacing a path.
Satterthwaite - a grant was given for the provision of cherry trees on a newly created 'green' in the village.
Warwick on Eden - a grant was made for improvements to the churchyard at St Leonards Church, including, footpaths , seat and a notice board.
Lickle Valley - funds towards the purchase by the Woodland Trust of Croglinhurst Wood locally known as Kit Scar.

Wasdale Head - Burnthwaite - grant towards the  restoration of two footbridges  over Gable Beck & Lingmell Beck
National Trust Lake District Properties Appeal - grant towards appeal to maintain landscape features on its Lake District Properties. 
Stanley Ghyll, Eskdale - grant towards the installation of a footbridge on approach to the falls to make access safer.
Winster Valley - grant to construct a footbridge over a drainage channel between Askew Green and Thorphinsty.
Little Langdale Tarn - purchase of Little Langdale Tarn to mark the 50th anniversary of our foundation. The tarn was donated to the National Trust.
Acorn Bank, Temple Sowerby - grant towards the restoration of the herb garden.

Great Langdale, near Robinson Place - restoration  of a footbridge over Great  Langdale Beck
Great Langdale, Stickle Ghyll - grant for new footbridge over Stickle Ghyll
Near Sawrey - grant towards the creation of a children's play area

Dove Cottage, Grasmere - grant for restoration of the garden as described   in the journals of Dorothy Wordsworth.

Ambleside - grant for improvements to Bridge  Street, new paving and restoration  of cobbled areas
Conishead Priory - grant for restoration of a footpath

Ennerdale - grant for two footbridges over Deep  Gill and Silvercove Beck.

Tree Planting in various locations- Bolton (Appleby),  Clifton (Penrith),  Kirkby Thore, Knock, Levens, Natland, New Hutton, Outgate,  Selside & Urswick

Borrowdale -  creation of footpath and two footbridges Between New  Bridge  & Longthwaite

Baskell farm, Duddon - purchased as a memorial  to Rev H H Symonds our founder  - donated to the National Trust
