Can you help tell the story of Cumbria's high fells?
Thursday, 11 August 2011 11:40

Can you help tell the story of Cumbria's high fells? Cumbria Wildlife Trust is collecting people's memories of the fell landscape, wildlife and ways of life before and after WWII, to explore how they have altered through the decades.

The Trust's High Fell oral history project wants to capture the memories of people from all walks of life. They could be memories of past farming methods, changes in land use or in tourism; memories of wildlife that perhaps has increased in number or is no longer so common or how moorland, wildflowers or woodlands have changed. Everyone has a unique story to tell - Cumbria Wildlife Trust would love to hear what you remember about the landscape and wildlife and changes you have noticed over the decades. If you would like to contribute, if you know someone who could take part or if you would like to volunteer with the project, contact High Fell project officer Sarah Johnson This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
