Friends of the Lake District are looking to appoint four short term contracts to deliver additional work on our Farming Landscapes project. The four posts available and time allocations are set out below. All work must be undertaken during March and April 2011

Friends of the Lake District has offered their land at the Helm, near Oxenholme as a training ground for the Lake District Mountain Rescue Search Dogs.

Our rally to 'Save our Forests' celebrated the Government's cancellation of the public consultation to sell off all the country's public forests at the weekend, but Lakeland forests remain under threat.
