Volunteers Restore Rydal Sheepfold

A fine sheepfold has been restored by Friends of the Lake District and Lake District National Park volunteers at Rydal. The sheepfold can be seen from the Heron Pike to Nab Scar end on the popular hill walking route the Fairfield Horseshoe.

Conservation Days

Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to come along. Please bring warm clothes, waterproofs, gloves and a packed lunch.

Steel toe capped boots must be worn for all dry stone walling days. We supply skilled supervision and any tools necessary.
